A weekend of music based, community fundraising events to fight food insecurity in the Wake Forest NC area, and to support the good works of ALS United North Carolina.
Sunday Jan 29th: Free concert of local church choirs
Saturday Jan 30th: Concert by The Gravy Boys (ticketed)
Sunday January 31st: Free concert of youth performers
All held at the Wake Forest Presbyterian Church CLC (Christian Life Center).

If you cannot attend, but would like to support the event and the charities, please click on the Donations image below. In the past, some people have bought tickets as their way of supporting the event, and were not planning to attend. Though good intentioned, we would prefer that you only buy a ticket if you plan to attend, so that we have accurate presale attendance numbers and you do not have to pay ticket sales tax unnecessarily. Tickets go on Sale November 1, 2026
Music and a Mission is a fundraising event held the weekend of January 29-31, 2027 for several food insecurity charities in the Wake Forest area and ALS United North Carolina. The weekend has 3 events, all held at the Wake Forest Presbyterian Church:
* Friday evening (7:00-9:00) concert of local church choirs. Free admission, but we request a donation of money or non-parishable food items for Journey Food Bank. There will be food concesssions at the event.
* Saturday afternoon (4:00-8:00) concert by The Gravy Boys and acoustic artist Blake Eason. Adult, presale tickets are $20. There will also be food concessions, a silent auction with over 60 items, information tables and a raffle. Doors open at 3:30. The event is held in conjunction with the Wake Forest Listening Room, and run by volunteers. We are trying to make this event as cash free as possible, so please bring your credit/debit cards, Venmo, CashApp, etc.
* Friday evening (5:00-7:00) concert of local church youth performances. Free admission, but we request a donation of money or non-parishable lunch box items for the Backpack Lunch program. There will be food concesssions at the event.
